Job summary

TD Bank in Portsmouth, New Hampshire is hiring a Banking Associate to deliver TD’s Brand promise at the store location. You will process everyday banking transactions, open accounts, and provide advisory support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.

This role requires strong customer service, effective communication, and the ability to work during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military)
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred
• Ability to work during operating hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Teller experience preferred
• Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire
• Strong organization skills for fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, consistent)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to schedule and prioritize work
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Sound judgment in decision making
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Notary License preferred

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions and educate customers on banking products and services
• Provide end-to-end advice and proactive recommendations to customers
• Engage with customers using TD systems to grow relationships
• Identify customer financial needs and promote TD products or refer to specialists
• Service teller line and platform transactions, including account openings/closings
• Lead generation and scheduling appointments with customers for experts
• Ensure a positive customer experience and adherence to policies
