Job summary

Security State Bank & Trust is seeking a Specialized Accounting Analyst responsible for banking-specific accounting, reconciliations, entries, schedules, and reporting for specialized products, funding relationships, regulatory activities, and Holding Company duties. You will coordinate with Controller, Treasury, and branches to ensure accurate records and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent accounting experience.
• 3+ years of accounting or banking operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and internal controls.
• Ability to learn and manage complex banking products, portals, and recurring reporting requirements.
• Strong Excel, analytical, research, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain securities and funding accounting records and reconciliations.
• Prepare entries involving Federal Reserve, Frost, FHLB, correspondent banks, funds, service charges, interest, wire fees, and stock activity.
• Monitor balances and prepare recurring schedules, entries, and reports within deadlines.
• Research differences among source reports, service-provider records, and the general ledger.
• Process and reconcile public funds, intraFi, and deposit programs as applicable.
• Prepare regulatory schedules and reports and support audits or examinations.
