Job summary

Kalshi is seeking an experienced Compliance professional to own licensing and charter initiatives as it expands into new products and jurisdictions. You will drive the bank/trust charter strategy and coordinate licensing efforts across regulators, legal, finance, product, and operations in a hands-on, execution‑driven role.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in financial-services compliance or licensing.
• Direct experience with OCC national trust bank or national bank charter applications.
• Proven track record owning complex regulatory licensing from assessment to approval.
• Strong knowledge of bank or trust regulatory frameworks and governance.
• Ability to translate ambiguous questions into actionable plans.
• Excellent written communications for regulator-facing materials.
• Experience working with senior executives, regulators, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own licensing and charter initiatives end-to-end, including OCC options.
• Develop licensing strategies for products, payments, custody, and jurisdictions.
• Prepare regulatory applications, policies, and governance materials.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Compliance, Legal, Finance, Product, and Ops.
• Manage regulatory diligence with outside counsel, regulators, partners.
• Evaluate licensing implications of M&A, partnerships, or new businesses.
• Conduct regulatory and competitive landscape analyses and present findings.
• Build execution plans with milestones and dependencies.
• Help design and operationalize compliance program if charter obtained.
• Drive high-priority regulatory initiatives as the footprint expands.
