Kalshi seeks a detail-oriented Legal Associate (Market Contracts) to design, draft, and safeguard contracts powering our regulated markets. You’ll own legal frameworks from rulebooks to regulatory filings, ensuring clarity, compliance, and scalability as markets expand quickly with confidence.

Collaborating with Product, Risk, Growth, and Partnerships, you will translate regulatory requirements into practical agreements, automate lifecycle management, and support governance, risk, and reporting

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 2–4+ years of legal experience, ideally in commercial law or financial markets/regulatory affairs.
• Experience with the prediction market industry is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and refine contracts that govern market operations, including event contract specs, trading terms, clearing docs, and participant agreements.
• Collaborate with Product and Risk to ensure market structures meet business needs and regulatory standards.
• Build standardized templates and rulebooks to streamline market launches and maintenance.
• Stay ahead of regulatory developments affecting event contracts and derivatives markets.
