Job summary
TEKsystems is currently seeking a Bank Teller for a Fortune 100 Financial Institution in El Paso, TX. This on-site contract role involves handling deposits, loans, and card services, with duties across platform banking and member support.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of cash handling experience and strong communication skills to assist members and coworkers. The position operates Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday hours and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of cash handling experience; banking is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email
- Good communication skills - de-escalation, remain calm under pressure, listening
Responsibilities
- Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans
- Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications
- Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services
- Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
- Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration
- Perform platform banking functions
- Assist level I team members
- Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services
- May assist with Branch Office vault opening, closing and balancing procedures
- May serve as a Branch Office and/or ATM vault custodian
- Perform other duties as assigned
