Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient in typing, 10-key calculator and data entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Completion of required Southside Bank training classes: New Employee Orientation, Teller Training, Teller Advanced and Professional Teller

Responsibilities

• Provide teller services including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and change orders with accuracy.
• Maintain accuracy, verify transactions, and refer questionable items to a supervisor.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer-focused service.
• Balance cash drawer and meet balancing standards daily.
• Recognize cross-sell opportunities and assist customers with product knowledge.
• Protect bank information and ensure security of accounts.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Follow bank policies and regulatory requirements (BSA, Reg CC, CTRs/SARs).
