Job summary

D.L. Evans Bank is seeking a Teller to handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and related transactions with accuracy and professionalism. You will balance daily transactions, verify cash totals, and assist customers in person, by phone, or by mail.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good communication skills.
• Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
• Good math skills.
• Able to operate related computer applications and business equipment including adding machine and branch capture machines.
• Good typing skills.
• Basic cash handling skills/experience preferred.
• Knowledge of bank operations policies and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents the Bank in a courteous and professional manner.
• Receives deposits and loan payments in person or by mail.
• Processes cash advances, gift/travel cards, cashiers' checks, government bonds, and similar transactions.
• Disburses cash for checks/withdrawals and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Processes transfers.
• Processes assigned cash and transactions and balances at end of day.
• Verifies transactions, monitors deposit amounts, and detects discrepancies.
• Maintains security of the work area and cash drawers.
• Places holds on uncollected funds when necessary.
• Ensures customer requests and questions are promptly resolved.
• Operates online teller terminal and provides information about account status.
• Receives address changes and forwards docs.
• Maintains privacy of customer information.
• Maintains Bank's professional reputation and represents DL Evans Bank in the community.
• Promotes DL Evans Bank at all times.
• Performs drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned.
• Cross-sells bank services by knowledge of all bank products.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Attends meetings as required.
