Job summary

Citi in San Jose, CA is seeking an entry-level Teller to support branch activities, deliver client-facing services, and process transactions as part of the Customer Service function.

You will handle cash, facilitate deposits and vault operations, educate customers on digital services, identify referral opportunities, and uphold bank policies and controls to protect clients and Citi while contributing to branch revenue.

Qualifications

• Previous relevant experience preferred
• Demonstrated sales and customer service experience
• Money handling experience
• Effective problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for Citi clients and provide a positive first impression through friendly and efficient customer service
• Perform banking transactions including managing cash supply for the branch, deposits, and maintaining branch vault cash
• Identify referral opportunities for new products and services based on client’s financial goals
• Educate clients on digital and self-service opportunities offered by Citi
• Adhere to bank policies, regulatory procedures to ensure safety and security of client and bank assets
• Ensure all client needs are met and manage client issues, escalating as needed
• Maintain working knowledge of client accounts and products
• Meet expectations of exceptional client experience and ensure risk/compliance guidance is followed
