Job summary

Vanguard in Malvern, PA seeks a Bank Account Management Analyst to own monthly account reconciliation and quarterly attestation processes, ensuring complete ownership and accurate population data. The role partners with relationship managers and custodian banks to support client service needs and to maintain control environments.

You will analyze data to resolve discrepancies, support opening/closing accounts, and participate in strategic projects that drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Three years of related work experience required.
• Detail oriented and self-starter capable of working independently and in teams.
• Global Banking experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead/train crew members.
• Proven analytical root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• SharePoint dashboarding and Power Query knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly account reconciliation and quarterly attestation processes to ensure complete and accurate account populations and ownership details.
• Partner with relationship managers to support client service needs for internal clients and custodian/treasury banks.
• Execute or assist with processes supporting the bank strategy controls environment; provide analysis and reports to management.
• Serve as primary liaison between internal contacts and global banking partners; anticipate needs and respond to inquiries.
• Ensure business unit service levels are accurate; collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain levels and escalate issues.
• Identify priorities and recommend strategic plans; resolve complex problems and escalate as needed.
• Recommend workflow enhancements and integrate technologies into workflows; communicate updates and prepare environments for change.
• Provide consultation and analytical support to ensure internal controls are aligned and implemented; advise on account opening best practices.

Job description

Owns and executes the monthly account reconciliation and quarterly account attestation process that ensures correct account ownership and a complete and accurate account population. Assists with the global bank account management process to open and close accounts. Collaborates on strategic projects that involve gathering data to facilitate operational efficiency and informed decision-making internally and with our business partners. Analyzes data to define discrepancies between gold copy data sources and actively works to resolve these discrepancies.

Bank Account Management Analyst

• Leads the monthly account reconciliation and quarterly attestation process, which are established to ensure complete and accurate account populations and ownership details.


• Partners with relationship managers in the execution of client service needs for all internal clients and custodian/treasury banks.


• Executes and/or assists with processes that support the bank strategy controls environment. Provides analysis and reports to management.


• Serves as primary liaison between internal contacts and global banking partners. Anticipates client needs and responds to inquiries.


• Ensures business unit service levels indicate accurate measures. Partner within the business unit and with external banks to proactively maintain services levels. Escalates service level issues to management when necessary.


• Identifies priorities and recommends strategic plans and workflow solutions on assigned initiatives. Independently resolves complex problems and exercises judgement in elevating issues.


• Recommends enhancements to workflows and procedures. Integrates new or existing technologies into workflows and communicates updates to all business partners, analyzing impact, preparing environment for change, and updating or creating procedures.


• Provides consultation, facilitation and analytical support to ensure internal controls are properly aligned and implemented. Provides consulting to business partners on account opening best practices.


• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes

• Minimum of three years related work experience.


• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Finance degree preferred.


• Detail oriented and proven self-starter with ability to work independently and within teams.


• Global Banking experience preferred but not required.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and empower other crew members.


• Proven analytical root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.


• SharePoint dashboarding and Power Query knowledge a plus.
