Job summary

Centennial-Bank in Conway, AR is seeking a Reconciliation Clerk to maintain daily, weekly and monthly balances for teller cash and related accounts within the Data Center. You will work with branch staff to resolve discrepancies and prepare entries for CDARS, 401K wires, and reconciliations.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly. Prior accounting or banking experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic accounting or computer skills.
• Equivalent of four years in high school plus specialized training.
• Three years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Balance teller cash and other cash items, GL accounts, and all correspondence due from bank GL accounts.
• Monitor activity in internal accounts and make appropriate entries.
• Reconcile internal accounts including cashiers' checks, expense checks, and CD interest checks.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for monthly reporting (about 5% of the time).
• Prepare daily entries for CDARS interest and update weekly CDARS renewals and additions.
• Act as backup for processing daily repurchase agreements.
• Act as backup for rates changes in Bankway system based on rate table and emails from regions.
• Upload account reconciliations into reconciliation software for storage and approval.
• Prepare weekly 401K and other employee benefit account wires and post entries.
• Assist with acquisitions as it relates to primary job functions and resolve issues.
• Communicate with branch staff regarding GL account issues and outages.
• Commit to working in a safe, alert state.
• Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as required.
