The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 3+ years of high-volume accounting experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Equivalent of 3+ years of accounting experience in a high-volume department.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reconciliation and reporting.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with accounting/reconciliation software and financial systems.
• Clear, professional communication with internal teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile cash accounts, general ledger accounts, and other related balance sheet accounts daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Monitor activity in assigned accounts and post appropriate journal entries.
• Reconcile specific accounts, including outstanding checks, reimbursements, and interest-related transactions.
• Reconcile additional balance sheet accounts for monthly reporting.
• Prepare and post entries related to interest-bearing accounts and investments, track renewals and activity.
• Serve as backup for processing recurring financial transactions and related activity.
• Upload account reconciliations into reconciliation software for storage and approval.
• Prepare weekly 401(k) and other employee benefit contributions/wires and post related entries.
• Assist with acquisitions or integrations related to accounting and resolving discrepancies.
• Communicate with internal departments regarding general ledger issues and provide resolution support.
