Job summary

SmartBank is seeking a detail-oriented Bank Operations Specialist I to join our Deposit Operations team. You will ensure account documentation is accurate, process transactions efficiently, and resolve operational requests in collaboration with branches and operations staff.

You will research issues, maintain documentation, and support compliance with banking laws and internal controls while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to five years of banking or related financial services experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional support to clients and associates by researching issues and delivering timely solutions.
• Review, process, scan, index, and maintain account documentation.
• Validate data and ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards.
• Complete workflow tasks accurately within required deadlines.
• Process operational entries within core banking, general ledger, and correspondent accounts.
• Manage and respond to Fresh Service requests and operational tickets.
• Create and escalate tickets when corrections are required in systems like FIS and Fresh Service.
• Assist with documentation exceptions and ensure resolutions align with standards.
