The Symicor Group is seeking a Bank IT Director for a New York, NY client. You will lead technology operations, ensure reliability and security, and oversee infrastructure, user support, vendors, and projects while supporting audits, regulatory examinations, and business continuity.

The opportunity offers up to $210,000 salary with a comprehensive benefits package and a non-remote work arrangement. A Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and 5+ years of banking IT experience are preferred,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Five or more years of progressive IT experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Experience managing networks, infrastructure, user support, cybersecurity controls, and technology vendors.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, identity and access management, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Experience with backup systems, disaster recovery, incident management, and technology projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to employees and senior management.
• Previous supervisory or IT management experience.
• Familiarity with core banking platforms and financial institution technology environments.
• Experience supporting bank audits and regulatory examinations.
• Relevant certifications, such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or Microsoft certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily IT operations across branches and offices.
• Oversee networks, servers, workstations, telecommunications, cloud services, and core banking connections.
• Coordinate support for banking applications, including digital banking, lending, payments, and document management.
• Maintain effective help desk support and resolve issues promptly.
• Administer user access using approved controls and segregation of duties.
• Coordinate cybersecurity safeguards with Information Security Officer.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery testing.
• Support incident response and coordinate corrective actions.
• Evaluate and oversee technology vendors and service providers.
• Maintain IT policies, inventories, and change management records.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Develop and manage the IT budget, replacement schedule, and improvement plan.
• Lead technology implementations, upgrades, conversions, and integrations.
• Supervise IT staff and coordinate outsourced resources.
• Protect confidential customer and bank information and follow bank policies.
