Job summary

The Symicor Group is seeking a Bank IT Director for our client in San Francisco, CA. This leadership role directs technology operations to ensure reliability, security, and alignment with business goals in a non-remote setting.

Responsibilities include managing IT infrastructure, vendor relationships, cybersecurity controls, audits, and regulatory examinations while leading IT staff and coordinating projects. Salary up to $300K plus benefits; on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years progressively responsible IT experience, preferably in banking/finance.
• Experience managing networks, infrastructure, user support, cybersecurity controls and vendors.
• Working knowledge of MS 365, Windows, IAM, virtualization and cloud services.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, incident management, and projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to executives.
• Previous IT management or supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with core banking platforms and audits/regulatory environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or Microsoft.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology operations across the bank’s IT landscape including networks, servers, and endpoints.
• Oversee cybersecurity safeguards and coordinate with the Information Security Officer.
• Manage vendor contracts, service levels, budgets, and technology roadmaps.
• Ensure disaster recovery testing, backups, and business continuity readiness.
• Coordinate IT projects, upgrades, integrations, and audits with stakeholders.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and regulatory examinations.
• Supervise IT staff and coordinate outsourced resources.
• Protect confidential banking information per policies and compliance.
