Community Medical Services is seeking an Assistant Controller in Scottsdale, AZ for a hybrid role (office 3 days a week, Tue-Thu).

The candidate will oversee general accounting functions, drive monthly close, ensure GAAP compliance, and prepare financial reports while supporting a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• College Education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7 Years Of Accounting/Finance Experience.
• Private Equity backed company experience highly preferred.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Intacct or similar multi-entity accounting software is preferred.
• Knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
• Experience working with multiple legal entities under different umbrellas.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in financial matters.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and review financial transactions and activities of the company.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and financial reports and statements.
• Maintain accounting controls and audit documents.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documents.
• Assist with external audit requests.
• Participate in special projects and team training.
• Provide technical accounting support to various departments.
• Develop, review, and update accounting policies and procedures.

Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring an Assistant Controller to become an important part of our high growth team. The Assistant Controller will be expected to perform a variety of general accounting functions and drive the monthly close while creating. This position reports to the Controller, VP of Finance and Accounting and is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), reviewing and analyzing financial information, and preparing financial reports. Monitor and review financial transactions and activities of the company.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and financial reports and statements to ensure compliance with various statutory requirements, GAAP, and established policies and procedures.

Maintain accounting controls and audit documents.

Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documents.

Assist with external audit requests and provide information as requested.

Participate in special projects, team training, and development of team members.

Provide technical accounting support to various departments.

Assist with the development, review, and updating of accounting policies, procedures, checklists, and related documentation concerning assigned functions and responsibilities.

College Education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 7 Years Of Accounting/Finance Experience.

Private Equity backed company experienced highly preferred.

Advanced computer skills including Microsoft 365.

Experience with Intacct or other similar multi-entity integrated accounting software preferred.

Knowledge of the full accounting cycle.

Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.

Ability to adhere to highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all proprietary business, financial, and employee matters.

Excellent understanding of English, both written and verbal required; Position requires frequent use of a computer, reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.

Tools And Equipment Requirements

The ability to use a phone, computer, printer, and copier is required.

Frequent use of Microsoft office products, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The ability to use the internet and various web browser software is required.

Physical Working Conditions And Office Setting Description

Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.

Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.

Frequent and prolonged typing and frequent and prolonged operation of computer, keyboard, and telephones required.

Requires occasional use of fax machines, telephones, copiers, and other office equipment.
