Responsibilities

• Safely operate HYDMECH band saws and other fabrication equipment.
• Operate plasma cutters, laser cutters, CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and robotic welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, cut lists, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Measure, mark, and cut materials with precision.
• Load CNC programs and adjust machine settings, including speeds, gas settings, torch height, and stops.
• Inspect finished cuts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve machine or cutting issues.
• Understand beam geometry, nesting, and structural material layouts.
• Safely operate overhead cranes to move materials.
• Complete routine machine maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain production records and inventory documentation.
• Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S principles.
• Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of machine operation or fabrication experience

Experience operating one or more of the following:

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Overhead Crane Certification
• Machine Operator Certification
• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Vocational or technical training in manufacturing
