Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an entry-level packaging operator to run palletizing and finishing equipment at one of our Texas locations. You will input data, follow customer specifications, and ensure safe, efficient production lines.

The role involves reading work orders, adjusting banding and packaging equipment, and maintaining materials like dunnage and tags. Overtime may be required; health benefits and 401(k) are provided.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret customer specifications and safety procedures.
• Operate manual and automated finishing equipment as directed.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Operate pallet centering device, auto banding software, two stage banding units, conveying system and stretch wrapping equipment.
• Perform basic computer functions to input and retrieve information from system.
• Read factory card and execute customer requirement/specification for finishing units for delivery.
• Add proper dunnage to protect customer product and load tags per customer specs.
• Program auto banding software for large orders.
• Maintain inventories of dunnage, tapes, load tags and stretch wrap.
