Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking provisional band teachers to join our Music Education Services department to provide music instruction at the schools we serve. This role is a substitute position with a maximum of 20–24 hours per week.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, have some teaching experience, and possess a valid state teaching license and a valid driver's license. Pay ranges from $25–$30 per hour, with robust benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Music Education is required.
Some teaching experience preferred.
Applicable for State Teaching License.
Valid state driver's license and automotive insurance.

Responsibilities

Stand in as the teacher for music classes at schools where our Music Educators are unavailable.
Assist with student recruitment or after school events as needed.
Prepare and follow lesson plans, provide progress reports including attendance.
Maintain quality relationships with school administration and principals.
Coordinate with Music Educators to participate in concerts.
This role will be a maximum of 20-24 hours per week.
Additional duties as assigned.
