Job summary

Concorde Education is seeking independent instructional contractors to provide band and instrumental music enrichment services for K-12 students. This is a potential independent contractor assignment, not an employee position.

Assignments vary by school, grade level, schedule, ensemble size, and curriculum. Compensation is typically $50+ per completed instructional service hour, with rates negotiated per assignment.

Qualifications

• Experience in band, instrumental music, music education, conducting, or related disciplines.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or leading activities with school-age students.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom facilitation skills.
• Availability to provide services for the assigned schedule and communicate issues promptly.
• Ability to demonstrate musicianship and foster collaboration and student engagement.
• Preferred backgrounds include band directors, music educators or private instructors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging band rehearsals and instrumental sessions.
• Teach musicianship, technique, ensemble performance, and music literacy.
• Adapt instruction to student level, site requirements, resources, and goals.
• Help students develop playing skills, ensemble teamwork, and performance confidence.
• Maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Communicate needs or concerns with Concorde and school staff.
• Complete a session form after each scheduled session.
• Follow site safety, visitor, and student-protection procedures.
