Water Valley ISD in Texas is seeking a dedicated 7-12 Band Director with some Elementary Music to lead a storied district program. You will direct and grow the band program for high school and junior high, while also teaching several elementary music sections.

Water Valley ISD maintains a proud tradition of state marching bands and strong academics. This full-time role offers stipends, bonuses, and benefits, with the district located about 22 miles from San Angelo, TX.

Description: Direct and manage overall program of music. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and district requirements.

Primary responsibility will be teaching band to high school and junior high students and serve as the Band Director.

Secondary responsibility will be teaching several sections of elementary music.

Water Valley ISD has a successful present and past STATE MARCHING BANDS and the expectations are to continue this great tradition.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification
• CDL B

Salary Range:

• $3,000 above base stipend
• Recruitment and Retention Bonus of $1,000 - 1st year, $1,500 - 2nd year, $2,500 - 3rd year
• Yearly bonuses ranging from $1,000 to $5,000
• Competitive Stipend and additional days paid for summer related duties

Benefits:

• District Contributes $375/month toward health insurance

• District has a scholarship endowment for all students of WVISD of $2,600 for every year student is in attendance. ($33,800 for K-12 student continuously enrolled)
