Job summary

Heid Music in Alabama is seeking a Band and Orchestra Sales Specialist to help students, educators, and musicians find the right instruments and accessories to support their musical journey.

You will blend music knowledge with customer service and sales, engage in community events and school partnerships, and grow within the organization through hands-on training and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Band or orchestra instrument knowledge (playing, teaching, or hands-on experience)
• Passion for music and helping others succeed
• Customer service, retail, or sales experience is helpful but not required
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others succeed musically

About the Role

Heid Music is a music retailer dedicated to fostering happy, developing musicians of all ages. As a Band and Orchestra Sales Specialist, you’ll build meaningful relationships within the musical community - helping students, educators, and musicians find the right instruments and accessories to support their musical journey. This role combines music knowledge, customer service, and sales, with opportunities to engage in community events and school partnerships.

Your Impact

Schedule & Compensation

• Includes some evenings, Saturdays, and occasional community events
• Hourly pay + commission + bonus opportunities

Training & Development

• Hands-on training with instruments and product lines
• Manufacturer-led education and product knowledge opportunities
• Ongoing coaching and support from experienced music retail professionals
• Opportunities to grow within the organization

Qualifications
