Job summary

HeyTutor is partnering with a Baltimore school district to provide in-person tutoring for 3rd–5th grade students. The role requires an AA degree or current college enrollment, with a background check and classroom-ready environment.

The tutor will follow a provided curriculum, support student engagement, and track progress using HeyTutor tools. This is a weekday, part-time opportunity with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher, or currently enrolled in college (required)
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary School Math
• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check
• Ability to manage large groups of students independently

Responsibilities

• Tutor groups of students without direct teacher supervision
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment
• Support positive student behavior and participation
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
• Assist with student assessments when requested
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy
• Complete additional duties as assigned

About the Role

HeyTutor has partnered with a local school district in Baltimore Maryland to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to Elementary School students. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.

We are hiring Math Tutors to support students in grades 3rd-5th. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring educators, and education professionals looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work in their community.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday availability required
  
• Schedule: 9:00am-1:00pm

Requirements

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
  
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
