Job summary

Green & Healthy Homes Initiative in Baltimore seeks a Community Engagement, Education and Outreach Coordinator to expand outreach, education and partnerships across Maryland. The role focuses on lead poisoning prevention, healthy homes and environmental health through in-person, field and hybrid activities.

You will build relationships with state agencies, local health departments and community groups, coordinate events, trainings and communications, and ensure programs meet grant deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field as listed.
• 2+ years of outreach and education experience with diverse communities.
• Strong intercultural communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in environmental health or public health preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach, education and partnership development for Maryland programs.
• Coordinate events, trainings and presentations to meet grant requirements.
• Develop and sustain relationships with state agencies, health departments and community partners.
• Plan outreach activities across Baltimore City and County and statewide.
• Track program data and report progress to the Maryland Programs team.
• Recruit, train and supervise volunteers and staff for outreach events.
