Job summary

Olin is seeking an Engineer Technician Ballistics to support design, testing, and analysis of ballistics-related projects at our Independence, MO facility. You will work closely with engineers and researchers, performing hands-on testing and data collection to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency in ballistic technology applications.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3+ years of mechanical experience or relevant military/law enforcement experience in ballistics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years full-time mechanical experience or relevant军事/ law enforcement experience applicable to ballistics.
• Basic firearm knowledge and reloading/handloading of ammunition preferred.
• Knowledge of ammunition test setups and procedures preferred.
• Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to read and understand military specifications concerning testing of small-caliber ammunition.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality team by performing ballistic testing.
• Perform range maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning duties.
• Make Ballistic Gel for testing.
• Recommend improvements, assist in implementing those recommendations and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
