Job summary

Golden State is seeking part-time Ball Persons for the 2026-2027 Santa Cruz Warriors season in Santa Cruz, CA. You will assist with court duties, locker room, equipment, laundry, and general team support. Ideal candidates have customer service experience, a passion for basketball, and the ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced game-day environment.

Game days run 4:00pm–9:00pm with 5-hour shifts. Benefit details and accommodations will be provided as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Mop the court during games to ensure player and guest safety.
• Distribute water, towels, and other game-time necessities.
• Coordinate and prioritize various team items during a game.
• Assist with laundry, washing, folding, and storing towels and uniforms.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of locker room and equipment room.
• Assist with bench setups/teardown.
• Attend to player, staff, and referee needs as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Santa Cruz Warriors are looking to hire part-time Ball Persons for the 2026-2027 basketball season. In this role, you will assist in various tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning the locker room, mopping the basketball court, maintaining the equipment room, washing and folding laundry, and general assistance to the team and basketball operations staff.

This is a part-time position and is located in Santa Cruz, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Mopping the court during games to ensure player and guest safety
• Distribute water, towels, and other game time necessities
• Coordinating and prioritizing various team related items during a game
• Assist with laundry duties including washing, folding, and storing towels and uniforms
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of locker room and equipment room
• Assist with bench setups/teardown
• Attend to player, staff, and referee needs as directed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service environment and passionate about building a memorable experience for fans
• Deep understanding of the game of basketball
• Consistent track record working independently and with a group
• High energy, meticulous, and hard-working individual
• Ability to multi-task, be organized and to complete assignments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Physical Demands

• Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.
• Stair climbing and the ability to sit/turn/bend/stand for long periods of time

Time Commitment

• Must be able to work the majority of home games – 24 regular season games and play-offs, including weeknights, weekends and holidays
• 5 hour shifts on game days, typically 4:00pm to 9:00pm

Compensation

• $16.90 Per Hour
