Job summary

WestRock Company is seeking a Baler Operator to join our manufacturing team in Houston. You will operate the baler, assist in feeding, maintain bale quality, and follow safety policies to ensure efficient, safe production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, may require a Lift Truck Operator license, and offers a competitive hourly wage of $16-$19 with benefits starting day one, paid time off, and a company culture focused on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior work in corrugated industry is preferred.
• May require a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Make good, neat bales.
• Operate hogger and hog up unusable paper and corrugated scrap.
• Assist in two man feeds as necessary.
• Maintain accurate bale reports.
• Maintain inventories of baling wire, wax and no wax tags, and scrap bales.
• Operate a forklift safely when necessary.
• Submit maintenance work orders for equipment repairs; proactively maintain equipment.
• Comply with safety and housekeeping policies.
