Job summary

Alter Trading is seeking a full-time Baler Operator in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will operate hydraulic baling machines to compress recyclable metal, coordinate with mobile equipment operators to load materials, monitor performance, and assist the team in tying off finished bales.

Daily responsibilities include completing reports for inventory, safety maintenance and operations, while maintaining strict PPE usage and safety standards in the yard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience in metals preferred but not required.
• Ability to interact with customers, employees and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic baling machines to compress recyclable metal.
• Coordinate with mobile equipment operators to load materials into the baler.
• Monitor machine performance and assist with tying off finished bales.
• Complete daily reports on inventory, safety maintenance and operations.
