Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a Baler Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the baler while complying with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The role involves processing products, inspecting materials for conformance, and maintaining production data in a fast-paced scrap yard environment.

The operator will adjust machine components, perform equipment inspections, install dies or cutters as needed, and provide backup support throughout the yard.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Ability to inspect materials and ensure conformance to standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain the baler to process products.
• Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and flow of materials.
• Perform pre- and post-processing inspection and document production data.
• Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to supervision.
• Support internal control processes and communicate operational issues.
