Job summary

Mid Valley Disposal is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator (Baler Operator) to support daily operations at our Fresno facilities. The role involves safely operating balers and related processing equipment, plus basic programming and troubleshooting of baler control systems.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, comfortable around heavy machinery, and committed to safety. Reports to the Production Supervisor at the assigned site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with recycling, warehouse, or baler operation preferred.
• Ability to program, adjust and troubleshoot baler system controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate balers and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up, start, adjust, and shut down baler systems.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and cleaning.
• Follow production schedules and safety policies.
• Monitor system performance and respond to alarms or issues.
• Assist with maintenance diagnostics and system software as needed.
• Communicate equipment issues clearly to supervisors.
