Job summary

Responsibilities

• Load scrap foam, skins, and fabric into the baler.
• Ensure baling machine is supplied continually with scrap.

Responsibilities

• Loads scrap foam, skins, and/or fabric into baler.
• Continually supplies baling machine with scrap and ensures that finished bales are properly packed and contained with strapping wire.
• Keeps machine operational and clean.
• Follows procedures such as SOPs, SEPs, etc.
• Keeps area clean and organized throughout the shift in accordance with 5S standards.
• Mentors new employees.
• Communicates with supervisor when product is non-conforming.
• Stops production to correct quality problems.
• Maintains environmental aspect and impact awareness.
• Reports any inconsistency or nonconformance on the product and participates in the corrective/preventive actions process.

Qualifications

• High School and/or Equivalent (desirable)
• Ability to do simple math calculations and fill out production reports.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Ability to read, understand, and comply with established company and plant policies.
• Pass required skills test and training evaluation checklist for the baler position.
