Job summary

International Paper in El Paso, TX is seeking a Baler Operator on 2nd shift to bale waste materials, weigh and record bale weights, and load bales into rail cars and trucks. Requires forklift certification, basic math, and English literacy. Works Monday–Friday with some Saturdays; safety-focused and team-oriented.

Will report to Corrugator Superintendent. Responsibilities include maintaining the baler room, cleaning areas daily, and assisting with material handling and shipment preparation.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Basic shop math and measurement reading.
• Ability to read and record bale weights accurately.
• Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Primary baler operator duties and responsibilities.
• Weighing waste bales and recording bale weights.
• Loading bales into rail trailers and trucks.
• Feeding waste into shredder/hogger.
• Maintaining a clean baler room and area around chute and ram.
• Reporting maintenance needs and equipment issues.
