Job summary

Colonial Group in Texas seeks a reliable production/warehouse worker for their corrugated operations. You will inspect waste carts, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and coordinate with Operators on baler and shredder performance.

You will document movements, perform startup checklists, and ensure proper tagging and identification of materials. The role requires forklift operation, strong mechanical aptitude, and flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be qualified to drive a lift truck.
• Strong safety focus and good attendance.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Preferred: experience in packaging or manufacturing environment.

• Check waste carts and loads for correct waste tag information with signatures.
• Help keep a clean work environment for safety reasons.
• Communicate with the Operator on Baler and Shredder performance, while exchanging information to the incoming Operator.

• Weigh and spray paint all good dunnage for identification and complete documentation needed for accurate accounting.
• Complete the soak and pin test to get familiar with the quality processes of the corrugator.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or GED.

Qualified to drive a lift truck.

3-5 years’ experience in the corrugated industry

Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.

Good attendance record.

Strong mechanical aptitude and possess problem solving skills.

Ability to work any shift including overtime and weekends, as needed.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
