Job summary

PCA is seeking a dedicated team member in the United States to support waste management, machine start-up prep, and safety in a corrugated packaging facility in Texas. You will weigh and label dunnage, document processes, and assist operators with baler and shredder performance while maintaining high safety standards.

Minimum 3–5 years in the corrugated industry, high school diploma or GED, and lift truck certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect waste carts and loads with proper tag information and signatures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area for safety compliance.
• Communicate with the Operator about baler/shredder performance.
• Document movements and complete pre-start checklists for machines.
• Report issues to the Supervisor promptly.
• Weight and spray paint dunnage; complete required documentation.
• Complete soak and pin tests to learn quality processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check waste carts and loads for correct waste tag information with signatures.
• Help keep a clean work environment for safety reasons.
• Communicate with the Operator on Baler and Shredder performance, while exchanging information to the incoming Operator.
• Document any movement and perform a checklist of baler and shredder machines prior to start up.
• Communicate issues or restraints to the Supervisor.
• Weigh and spray paint all good dunnage for identification and complete documentation needed for accurate accounting.
• Complete the soak and pin test to get familiar with the quality processes of the corrugator.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Qualified to drive a lift truck.
• 3-5 years' experience in the corrugated industry
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Good attendance record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and possess problem solving skills.
• Ability to work any shift including overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: $20.19 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
