Job summary

Circular Services in Hillburn, NY is seeking a Baler Operator for a full-time daytime shift. The role involves monitoring a baler and bunker system, performing basic maintenance, and keeping the line running smoothly in a recycling plant environment.

Pay rate is $26.18 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) and occasional Saturdays. The job requires keeping facilities clean, following safety guidelines, and communicating with operations and maintenance teams regularly.

Qualifications

• Performs duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Operates industrial balers and automated bunker system in the recycling plant.
• Performs all assigned basic preventative maintenance on industrial balers and associated equipment.
• Makes minor repairs and adjustments to industrial balers and associated equipment.
• Operates computer controlled automated bunker system.
• Properly utilize balers and bunkers to ensure single stream processing is not interrupted.
• Responsible for housekeeping in assigned area including equipment and work areas.
• Maintain timely, appropriate, and professional communications with plan operations, maintenance department, and baler supervisor.
• Provide daily baler production reports to plan operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the Role:

The Baler Operator is responsible for machinery that compresses and binds recyclable materials into bales for easy storage and transportation. Preferred Job Qualifications:

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.
