Job summary

Circular Services in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Plant Maintenance Technician to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, guiding junior technicians and ensuring optimal equipment performance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with balers, conveyors, and processing equipment.
• High attention to safety to prevent injuries and maintain a safe environment.
• Able to follow instructions for operating equipment and record-keeping.
• Able to perform tasks accurately, timely and safely.
• Able to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance with Circular policies and OSHA requirements.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure plant equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace fixed and rolling stock equipment including balers, conveyors, gearboxes, electrical motors, machine shafts, rollers, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and manuals.
• Provide training, direction, and technical support to Maintenance Technician A and B team members.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term corrective solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure a clean and safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Participate in facility improvement projects and equipment installations as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to support operational needs and emergency repairs.

About the Role

ThePlant Maintenance Technician C is a senior-level maintenance professional responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment. Working independently with minimal supervision, this role provides technical guidance and support to junior maintenance technicians while playing a critical role in ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment preferred).
• Experience with balers, conveyors, and processing equipment.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Able to follow instructions for operating equipment and record keeping
• Able to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Able to maintain a clean & safe environment
• Bilingual English and Spanish
