Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Bakery Clerk to keep the bakery section welcoming and well-stocked. You will greet customers, help them find items, and ensure products are fresh and properly displayed.

This role offers training and the chance to work evening and weekend shifts in a busy store environment. You’ll perform basic transactions at the bakery counter, assist teammates, and follow sanitation standards to maintain a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Basic math for simple transactions and counting.
• Clear, friendly communication with customers and teammates.
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the bakery counter and provide friendly service.
• Assist customers with finding products and placing orders.
• Monitor product freshness and stock levels during your shift.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of your work area.
• Operate the department register to process payments where applicable.
