Whole Foods Market in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ is seeking a Bakery Team Member to support the department by receiving and preparing products, stocking displays, and delivering friendly, efficient service to customers. The role emphasizes upholding WFM standards and health and safety regulations on the shop floor.

The position requires flexibility to work a fast-paced environment, with training and on-the-floor engagement as part of the daily routine.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well stocked through front-facing, code checking, rotation, and removal of out-dated products.
• Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains clean and sanitary working and shopping environments; maintains equipment per WFM standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing signs are accurate.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
