Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Closter, NJ, is seeking a Team Member to support the Bakery team by receiving and preparing product, stocking displays, and delivering friendly service in line with WFM standards.

You will break down deliveries, keep back stock organized, assist the sampling program, and help with periodic inventory while upholding health and safety regulations; a flexible schedule including nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Stocking and merchandising products.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh and appealing displays by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
• Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; works required shifts and trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs, and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures, health and safety regulations, and cleanliness standards.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
