Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. in Ohio is seeking a part-time Team Member to support the Bakery area by receiving and preparing products, stocking shelves, and assisting customers in line with WFM standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, preventing spoilage, aiding with sampling, and performing opening/closing duties while delivering friendly, efficient service to shoppers and Team Members.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to colleagues, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean and well stocked with front-facing presentation, rotate stock, and check codes.
• Stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, team leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program and keep sample areas full and appealing.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time, groomed, and ready to work; attend required trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly, and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising of products.
• Follow procedures including health, sanitation, and safety rules.
• Maintain clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; keep equipment clean and safe.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
