Job summary

85°C Bakery Cafe in National City, CA is seeking entry-level bakery staff in either full-time or part-time roles. You will produce and prepare bakery products, decorate cakes, and separate products for distribution, while upholding food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bakery, cake decorating, food production, restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.
• Passion for creating high-quality bakery products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to speak and understand conversational English.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification may be required.
• Availability to work at least 20 hours per week for part-time roles, 32 hours for full-time roles, with early morning, weekend, and holiday availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, decorate, assemble, or separate bakery products according to recipes and quality standards.
• Measure, mix, prepare, and finish products following procedures.
• Decorate cakes with precision.
• Separate, organize, package, and prepare finished products for distribution and sale.
• Monitor product quality throughout production.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, Health Department, and company regulations.
• Operate, clean, and maintain bakery equipment.
• Work to meet daily production schedules and deadlines.
• Assist with inventory rotation and quality control.
• Cross-train and support other bakery/store departments as needed.
