Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a bakery team member responsible for baking and preparing finished products, greeting customers, and ensuring high standards of freshness and presentation. You will follow production charts, assist with display planning, and support daily bakery operations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and a positive member experience, with benefits and weekly pay typical of BJ’s. Prior bakery or service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery or customer service preferred.
• Familiarity with bakery product handling and display.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Answers questions and recommends bakery items.
• Proofs and bakes unfinished bakery goods per production charts.
• Packages freshly baked goods (cookies, pastries, breads, etc.).
• Decorates special orders or case products.
• Rotates and stores bakery products following safety policies.
• Receives, inspects and stores bakery shipments.
• Ensures products are fresh and properly priced.
• Cleans and sanitizes bakery equipment and surfaces.
• Operates bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
