Job summary

Liscio's Bakery in Glassboro, NJ is seeking a Quality Control Technician to uphold food safety and quality in production. You will maintain SQF documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and support training for staff. The role requires attention to detail and willingness to cover shifts when baking runs late.

Responsibilities include implementing GMP/SQF policies, calibrating tests, and coordinating with departments to address any quality concerns. This is a full-time evening shift position.

Qualifications

• Bakery production and/or food safety experience (≥2 years).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work flexible schedules and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of GMP, SQF, and food safety policies.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SQF Documentation and ensure compliance across departments.
• Operate and verify quality and safety systems via pre‑op checklists.
• Create, modify, review, and file FSMS documentation.
• Document actions and communicate irregularities to teams.
• Calibrate tests and interpret results; address issues as needed.
• Comply with GMP, SQF, and company food safety policies.
• Review customer requirements to ensure appropriate usage.
• Provide training to new hires within Liscio’s Bakery.
• Review Retail Stores and Pastry/Cake Production facilities for safety.
• Assist in paperwork, signage, or policy creation for FSMS objectives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
