Job summary

Safeway in Richland, WA is hiring a Baker to prepare breads, pastries, cakes and desserts using established recipes. You will measure, mix, shape and bake products, and decorate cakes and specialty desserts.

You'll maintain a clean, well‑stocked display, rotate ingredients, and collaborate with bakery teammates to plan daily production. Customer interactions include answering questions, taking special orders, and providing friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes and desserts using established recipes and production methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, and bake products; decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and keep ingredients rotated and labeled.
