Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a bakery associate to manage packaging, labeling and displays, while maintaining stock and product quality. You will monitor dates, appearance and storage temperatures to ensure freshness and safety.

The role supports bakery personnel, engages customers, and uses suggestive selling to boost sales. The ideal candidate can operate bakery equipment, learn new systems, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 21 years or older to drive for Company business.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Typically involves on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating baked goods.
• Assists bakery personnel with preparing, packaging, labeling, and maintaining product displays.
• Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives.
• Stacks pallets and sorts product into correct locations according to Company efficiency standards and expectations.
• Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
• Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions and taking orders by phone and in person.
