Rosauers Supermarkets in Washington state is seeking a friendly Bakery Sales Clerk to greet customers at the bakery counter and help them select pastries, making every visit a pleasant experience. You will weigh, price, and package items, process payments, manage bakery inventory, monitor displays, and keep the area clean and welcoming for customers.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming bakery counter experience for customers.
• Advise on baked goods and take orders.
• Weigh, price, package items and process payments.
• Manage baking ingredients inventory and stock orders.
• Track ingredient expiry dates and plan usage.
• Monitor display appeal and availability of baked goods.
• Report low stock to the Baker promptly.
• Keep the bakery counter clean and tidy; assist as needed.
• Clean the kitchen after hours and prep for next day.
• Handle customer complaints and relay to the Baker.
• Perform other duties to support the store's success.

From helping customers select their favorite pastries to offering recommendations and answering questions about our delectable offerings, you'll be the go-to person for all things bakery-related.

What You’ll Do

• Creating a welcoming and positive customer experience at the bakery counter.
• Advising customers on baked goods selection and taking orders.
• Weighing, pricing, and packaging purchased items, as well as processing payments.
• Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting the purchase of stock.
• Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.
• Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.
• Reporting low baked goods stock to the Baker in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.
• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
• Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.
• Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.
