You will weigh, price, package items, process payments, and manage ingredient inventory while maintaining a clean, welcoming space for shoppers. The role involves multitasking across displays and responding to customer needs with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming customer experience at the bakery counter.
• Advise customers on baked goods and take orders.
• Weigh, price, package items and process payments.
• Manage baking ingredients inventory and request stock purchases.
• Track expiry dates and plan usage accordingly.
• Maintain display quality and product availability.
• Report low stock to the Baker in a timely manner.
• Keep the counter clean and perform other duties as needed.
• Clean the kitchen after hours and prep for the next day.
• Handle customer complaints and relay to the Baker.

As a Bakery Sales Clerk, you'll play the role of trusted guide, sharing the delightful tales behind our freshly baked goods while ensuring each customer walks out satisfied. The position requires a friendly, self‑motivated individual ready to help customers select, order, and obtain information about pastries and other baked items. Working at the bakery counter, you will create a welcoming experience, advise on selections, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, organized environment.

What You’ll Do

• Creating a welcoming and positive customer experience at the bakery counter.
• Advising customers on baked goods selection and taking orders.
• Weighing, pricing, and packaging purchased items, as well as processing payments.
• Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting the purchase of stock.
• Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.
• Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.
• Reporting low baked goods stock to the Baker in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.
• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
• Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.
• Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.
