Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in Irvine, CA seeks a Production - Food and Beverage R&D Assistant to support product development in a dough, fillings, and baking-focused environment. The role is hands-on, collaborating with R&D, sales, customers, brokers, and suppliers to drive new product development.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of food production or bakery support experience, is detail-oriented and team-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced setting where safety, quality, and consistency are

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in food production, bakery production, R&D support, or related setting.
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures and production guidelines.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple R&D tasks.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced production environment with emphasis on food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Support product development activities including formulation assistance and material testing.
• Prepare and bake product samples for shows, presentations, testing and internal review.
• Assist with dough and filling handling, proofing, baking, finishing and related processes.
• Serve as liaison with customers, brokers, sales team and suppliers as needed.
• Follow food safety standards and internal procedures throughout R&D and production support.
• Complete miscellaneous R&D tasks, documentation and production support duties.
