Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL is seeking a bakery production associate to set up, proof, bake, slice, and oversee bread and roll production. You will follow GMPs, operate ovens and equipment, maintain cleanliness, and support other team members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must follow GMPs and safe working habits.
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs repetitively and 55 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to push/pull 100 lbs racks.
• Must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must have good attendance and punctuality.
• Must be able to learn and perform all positions.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must communicate well and be a team player.
• Must understand Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Must be dependable with good follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring proper weights and lengths of finished products
• Documenting quality inspections of finished product
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the baking production area
• Assisting operators in daily production operations
• Setting up, proofing, and baking bread and rolls
• Slicing bread
• Operating ovens, proofers and bread slicers
• Other duties as assigned
