Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL is seeking a bakery production associate to support daily operations in our bread production area. You will set up, proof, and bake bread and rolls, slice bread, and operate ovens, proofers, and bread slicers.

You will help keep the production area clean and organized, assisting operators as needed. The role requires strong GMP and safety practices, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must demonstrate GMP adherence.
• Must demonstrate safe working habits.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 20 lbs repetitively, 55 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to push/pull racks up to 100 lbs.
• Must learn and perform all positions.
• Must work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good teamwork/communication.
• Must work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours.
• Must have good attendance and punctuality.
• Must assist other team members.
• Must perform steady, productive work for extended periods.
• Must understand machine operation and problem recognition.
• Must work with minimal supervision.
• Must understand Lockout/Tagout compliance.
• Must be dependable and have good follow-up skills.
• Must communicate effectively.
• Must show enthusiasm and commitment to Publix.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, proofing, and baking bread and rolls.
