Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Philadelphia is seeking a Production Lead for shift operations in our plant.

You will direct shift production, assign tasks, monitor schedules, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and legal standards while maintaining efficient output. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in plant production, a high school diploma or equivalent (AIB Bakery Science Residence Program preferred) and formal management training.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in plant production.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program.
• Completion of formal management skills training program.

Responsibilities

• Directs operation of shift production; assigns tasks and monitors schedules.
• Reviews records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials.
• Ensures equipment is in good operating condition and safe.
• Promotes positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication.
• Ensures a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and conducting inspections.
• May operate facility metal detector(s) and be trained/certified.
• Maintains cleanliness and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
